Open Day 2026 - Come and See What We've Been Building

There's a difference between reading about cattle and standing in the paddock with them.


Numbers on a page tell part of the story. EBVs matter. Pedigrees matter. Data matters enormously. But the moment you walk out into a paddock at Brooklana and see these animals moving - the way they're built, the way they carry themselves, the temperament they express - something clicks that no catalogue page can replicate.


That's exactly why we hold an Open Day.


What Is the Open Day?

On 20th July 2026, from 11am to 3pm, we're opening the gates at Brooklana Angus for anyone who wants to come and inspect our 2026 sale animals before they go under the hammer at our 12th Annual Bull Sale on 3rd August at 12 noon.


You'll have the opportunity to see our bulls and females in person - walk alongside them, assess their structure, ask questions and get a genuine feel for what this program is producing.


No pressure. No obligation. Just cattle, paddocks and honest conversation.


What's on Offer This Year

This year's sale offering represents years of deliberate genetic investment - bulls built on proven maternal lines, backed by EBV data and, more importantly, backed by what we're seeing here on the ground every single day.


Among the highlights heading toward sale day:

  • Brooklana Emperor V74 - a Te Mania Emperor E343 son out of Brooklana Prue S5, topping our growth figures with a 533-day average daily gain of 1.78kg. A future stud sire with a pedigree that is a genuine herd builder.

  • Brooklana Emperor V5 and V10 - two sons of Millah Murrah Kruse Time K400, out of Brooklana Prue S8 - a sensational granddaughter of Millah Murrah Prue M4. Animals that carry forward some of the most admired genetics in the Angus breed.


And for the first time ever - a breeding-aged son and daughter of Millah Murrah Prue M4 and Millah Murrah Rocket Man R38, being V6 and V7. This is a genuinely historic opportunity. Two animals that represent the result of a $470,000 investment - and a vision that has been years in the making.

The Open Day runs from 11am to 3pm on 20th July 2026 at our on-farm cattle yards at 244 Whitneys Road, Brooklana NSW - situated on the Eastern Dorrigo plateau in northern NSW.
