Lot 1. BROOKLANA PRUE V7
Representing the pinnacle of the Angus Australasia World being out of the current record priced Angus female, Millah Murrah Prue M4, by the current record priced sire, for an outright sale, Millah Murrah Rocket Man R38. Prue V7is offered to the market as the first animal ever, representing not only this genetic pairing, but the first female ever to be presented to the market of the Prue M4 breeding line. Prue 7 embodies all that breeders could aim for, including a calf at foot by the record setting Millah Murrah Trigger T308. Purchasers have the option to acquire a half share in Prue V7 and calf or purchase outright.
Lot 2. BROOKLANA VANQUISH V6
Flush brother to lot 1, Vanquish comes with proven genetics and proven reproductive capacity, having recently spent 10 months at the Ced Wise Export A.I. Centre. Vanquish purchase comes with 1,000 straws of licensed semen, being equally export and domestic straws. Even from a calf, Vanquish commanded attention, representing the male version of his outstanding parentage. Purchasers have the option of acquiring a half share in Vanquish or purchase outright.
Lot 3. BROOKLANA REVOLUTION V4
Sired by the Prue M4 x Paratrooper P15 son of R33, dam Brooklana R105 combined genetics featuring SAV Traveller 004, Right Time 24), Dream, Emperor E343, V4 offers exceptional growth, phenotype, a real eyecatcher. R33 has been used extensively to produce our next generation of our cow herd, V4 has a lot to offer.
Lot 5. BROOKLANA CHISUM V13
Some firsts with this offering, we’ve put Prue M4 on both sides of the pedigree, as well as Coonamble Hector. The dam also has Emperor on both sides of her pedigree, narrowing down the genetic base. Sire Q20 was our top seller in 2021, selected by many as the outstanding sire being offered. Dam S16E has a pedigree packed full of proven genetics.
Lot 8 BROOKLANA REVOLUTION V39
Another sire with Prue M4 on both sides of the pedigree, by Revolution R33, out of a Q17 daughter. V39 exemplifies our breeding philosophy over the past few years. Buying Prue M4 to breed with Emperor L29, then introducing Paratrooper into the mix. Combined progeny of L29 sire Emperor and R33 sire Paratrooper, exceeds 16,000 Proven most popular. Great to offer R33 progeny, when they have had an opportunity to be presented in their best light. Herd builder.
Lot 10 BROOKLANA CHISUM V65
Sire S19 is by a Flower N30 son, strengthened by Dream / BT Right Time 24J genetics, Dream / 24J genetics also from his dam, who is a Rocket Man daughter. A package that is full of Millah Murrah elite genetics yet not including M4. A genetic herd improver with a hard to come by pedigree.
Lot 12 BROOKLANA KRUSE TIME V5
A young sire that commands attention. His sire being the grand sire of Millah Murrah Trigger, his dam being the daughter of Paratrooper, granddaughter of Prue M4. This mating has really worked, IMF of 3.6, fats way above average. Has been used lightly, semen collected and retained, suited for heifers. A prominent stud sire probability.
Lot 13 BROOKLANA EPEROR V745
If you consider cows to be your focus, then you'll get where we are coming from here. A maternal power housed proven pedigree. The maternal contribution offered here is next level- I won't start because I won't stop, apart from, ‘H20 was the smallest cow in our herd, always did an amazing job’.
Lot 16 BROOKLANA CHISUM V1
For the purists, sired by S Chisum 255 himself, out of an amazing 14 yr. Dream/Emperor/24) cow, Brooklana Dream H28. I was praying for a heifer; you can be the winner here. What an opportunity, I recall a few years ago, the purchaser of an H28 son, topping the Dorrigo weaner sales with an outstanding run of steers. Good cows breed great steers, as well as heifers. Get a great cow herd. Start here with V1.
Lot 18 BROOKLANA STELLAR V25
V25 is one of my favourites on paper creations, his actual raw data doesn't disappoint either, Stellar has his own well-known attributes. The dam of V25, R30, is one of our elite cows, from the Merribrook Champagne family, crossed with Emperor, by a Paratrooper son. Add lot 18 to your list.
Lot 20 BROOKLANA EMPEROR V74
V74 is a son of Brooklana Prue S5, a half share of S5 with calf at foot recently sold for an overall value of $120,000, being the third highest value sale for an angus female in Australasia. V74 being a son of Te Mania Emperor E343, S5 a daughter of Millah Murrah Paratrooper P15. Brooklana has retained 100 straws of semen and has lightly used V74 over heifers. Curve bending calving ease + growth EBVs. Highly proven Angus royalty all over this bull.
Lot 22 BRROKLANA CHISUM V3
Flush brother to lot 16, V3 presents with the same benefits, a highly proven pedigree, jam packed with maternal excellence. These genetics represented in young females will springboard you into the future with the likes of Rocket Man and Prue H4 progeny. Proven genetics mitigates risk.
Lot 26 BROOKLANA EMPEROR V70
Sired by the Prue M4, son Q17, who is by an Emperor / Dream BT R24J sire, out of a really powerful cow, K65. If you like scale and strength, there is plenty here. Q17 was never offered for sale and despite requests for semen, he was never collected. Progeny from Q17 and his flush siblings are spread throughout Australia. V70 will show you what the fuss is about.
Lot 27 BROOKLANA REVOLUTION V22
An APR who has made it through a number of successive cuts, interesting double up of Prue M4 on both sides of the pedigree, by narrowing down of the gene pool, we aim to produce a more true to type of the resultant progeny. Provided the inbreeding coefficient is below around 15%, we will consider doubling up individuals to both sides, the inbreeding coefficient with this animal is 7%. An interesting opportunity here.
Lot 28 BROOKLANA CHISUM V100
Sire of V100, S9, was our top selling bull at our 2022 sale, dam is a Paratrooper daughter, the Mary cow family have broad ribbons in the wardrobe. A curve bender opportunity if ever there was one “calve easy- grow fast”. There is a lot more about this pedigree that I could say, especially about the dam’s side, the sire side speaks for itself.
